Tasting notes by Charles Braastad, Cellar Master :
Nose : Delicate notes of flowers and a hint of spice, followed by perfectly ripe summer fruits, such as apricot, peach, and pear. The pinnacle of this olfactory experience is reached with the scent of roasted almonds and other nuts.
Palate : Flavors of orange zest, complemented by a refreshing note of cardamom. The fruit flavors intermingle seamlessly : red fruits, Kirsch cherry, Muscat grapes.
Finish : Persistence, length, and elegance that stay true to the spirit of Delamain and the old eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne.
“This extraordinary blend was created by Mr Dominique Touteau, former Cellar Master, crowning 40 years of career within the House.
There are so many wonderous elements at work in this blend. The extraordinary individual qualities of the eaux-de-vie, the opportunity to imagine how these individual talents could be brought together in a symphony. It's a privilege to pursue this legacy.”
