Tasting notes :
Nose : refined and rich, with notes of prune and liquorice.
Palate : elegant, with floral and fruity notes, orange.
Finish : very long on the palate.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st AOC Cognac.
Terroir : The soil of Grande Champagne is whitish with a crumbly limestone subsoil; the climate is less influenced by the ocean due to its distance from the sea, but still has a strong continental character : the eaux-de-vie from this region are distinguished by their very fine, very long bouquet. Eaux-de-vie made exclusively in this region can claim the Grande Champagne or Grande Fine Champagne appellation.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Distillation on lees.
Ageing : in French Limousin-type oak cask, coarse grain and medium grain.
